Exposition Of Pain Poem by casey callahan

Exposition Of Pain

My shoulders tense up;
They shrivel, they crawl.

I close my eyes and plaster them shut.
They start to decay,
As the rot of them slowly seeps down my throat and into my stomach.

Killing me from the inside out.

My knees buckle and fall to the floor.

My spine tuns to a soft weak substance.

..And as I lay there on the floor unable to gather myself,

I melt,

I explode,

I vanish,

I am gone.
