Eye Sea Poem by Rita Cerniglia

Eye Sea

We are not so different after all.
O' to be young and to do it all over.
To sing as a dolphin embracing the waves
urgently loving life close to its graves.
Empty blue with so much space to fill.
Cold as a violin.
Death still.

I know I'm not so far that I am near,
from this distance it is very clear;
we are not so different, you and I.
We both will love, we both will die.
Empty blue with so much space to fill.
Final as venom.
Truth spill.

The sirens sing to rocks and men;
both are of the earth beneath.
The seas shall cover both of them;
shall even cover death.
Empty blue with so much space to fill.
God vision.
Faith kill.
