Facebook Lover Poem by palesa deejay manaleng

Facebook Lover

Click, Click goes the mouse as my heart skips a beat,
Hoping for a like from my crush.
A heart gives the illusion of interest.

I feel her browse and never stop to read the hidden messages.
Post all day and never say anything to me.
Knock on her inbox hoping to be let in but her door shut so tight I hardly filter through.

Click, Click I strain my eyes hoping to see her face through a fancy box.
All I get are shared posts that never reveal who she really is.

Click, Click I spend my days staring at her through a screen.
Creating vacations as the sound of her laughter teases me, vibrating through our Twitter home.
Click, Click will she forever be just my Facebook lover?
