Fading Ember Poem by Joyce Hemsley

Fading Ember

Forty words:

Two crimson roses drifted apart.
Gone had love's thrill felt at the start
when they vowed to be true
In the church one September...
Now love is just a poetical line
printed in rhyme on a 'once a year'
Valentine.
