Fake Friends Poem by Oscar Munir

Fake Friends

Dear son, you haven't seen her smile have you?
She has teeth as white as snow that makes her smile beautifully,
Her voice alone is something enjoyable to listen to,
You only hear sense when she speaks she's naturally gifted.

'Dress decently and smell nice, ' is her number one motto,
From a distance you see a noble person, a caring friend,
it's not always what it seems to be remember this always,
Not all that glitters is gold.

She smiles so widely in your presence,
At the forefront, she praises and sings your name,
oh poor soul! you don't know what you dealing with,
In your presence she smiles, behind your back she frowns.

In your presence she sings your name but curse you when you show her your back,
Moving together shouldn't make you think you are birds of the same feather,
You are a white egret, she is a black crow don't be deceived by her smiles and appearance my son,
A backstabber, that's who she is not a friend.
