Fallen Poem by Rustiq Joy

Fallen

Sinking fast in these ripples of blue,
Beholden,   besotted, entangling hue.
Mistaken, I took to drift on a sparkling sea.
Alas it only bedazzled me.

Flailing hands, left to right,
At first, it was comfort and light.
Like a cool hug, on a hot summer's day;
Frolicking and frolicking the hours away.

But then I felt my descent was clear,
My feet bound, steered below I know not where.
I wish I could say I fought a good fight;
My heart is fair, and bid denial good night.

Bound in the shrouds of the deep,
I ponder how long will my heart not sleep.
How many walked away from your sparkle and fair.
How long will I last...... here.
