Falling Away Poem by Alexis Monarez

Falling Away

I see me from a distance,
Just stareing off into space,
Wondering if I belong,
In this God awful place,
My thoughts aren't as they should be,
The water's getting high,
Drowning in the lake,
Is what's going through my mind,
My heart is unmendable,
My mind has gone away,
I moved to Kansas,
But in Indiana my heart stays.
