Falling Away From The Sight Of You Poem by Josh Burnett

Falling Away From The Sight Of You

Rating: 4.0

Time is slipping away from the madness of my heart.
It fades faster than my mind can follow, I found where to start.
My feet move on their own as I watch you fall apart.
The cloud above your head begins to turn to dark.

I'm falling away from the sight of you.
I don't mean to play this all the way through.
This game at my feet leaves us lonely and blue.
I don't want to fall from the sight of you.

From one lonely window I can see the sadness inside.
From me the emotions are trying to hide.
I can hear your tongue starting to shed your lie.
It's not my reason why you sit up and cry.

I'm falling away from the sight of you.
I don't mean to play this all the way through.
This game at my feet leaves us lonely and blue.
I don't want to fall from the sight of you.

You call out to me to save you from the pain.
But where were you when I was feeling the same?
Across the sands of time you said you had to fade.
Becuase you said you couldn't deal with it this way.

I'm falling away from the sight of you.
I don't mean to play this all the way through.
This game at my feet leaves us lonely and blue.
I don't want to fall from the sight of you.
