False Hope Poem by The not so Golden child

False Hope

Don't lie to me.
Don't lie to her.
Neither one of us deserves this.
She deserves to know
And I deserve closure.
I'd tell her myself
But it's not my place.
It's yours.
You claim to be a big man,
So prove it.
Im ashamed
To have once been considered yours.
I'm sad that it took so long for us to make up our minds
And now it's too late.
But most of all
I'm shocked
By your cold demeanor,
By your condescending words,
By the mere fact you won't tell her.
I shouldn't be shocked by this.
Everyone told me you were bad news,
But I had hope.
I know better now.
