As I await my fate today
I don't know if there ever will be a way
Any answer will only
Keep us from being a little lonely

A real life is not for this life
I see only in its path strife
A lot of damage collaterally
Some broken hearts internally

It's best to keep expectations none
Then we won't be burnt by the sun
A pint of happiness every day
Is all I ask from this day

A pinch of melancholy
Is what I strive
Any more doses and I will just die
Much before those gates pearly

It cannot be sin
This much I know
Two broken hearts sown together in
And a smile again on my lips to show
