Father, My Guidebook Poem by Sameer Agnihotri

Father, My Guidebook

Rating: 2.0

I was unaware of world, you told me;
I felt pacifying when you lulled;
With hold of your finger, I learned to walk in debris,
Difficulties, dullness when dwelt; you demolished them;
Sorcerer of my life you are, I am your apprentice;
Always you scold me, when I go off path;
Iam your treasure; you kept safe under your shade;
Scolding and trashing polished me, as jeweler polished gems;
Coal was I, made a diamond of mine, valuable more than ever;
Stood you always with me, when world went against, you made you my milestone;
Stronger than every manacle;
You are my shadow, always before, never intended to conquer;
I am your strength so you are mine;
You are never idle, always thinking betterment of mine;
Always you love me, I am soul breathing in you;
To describe you is impossible,
Poetry seems unreasonable;
Virtues inhibit in you are infinite;
O daddy, you are my guide; always you showed me the path right;
Under shade of yours, I am always safe, confident and right;
No matter where I go in life, your teachings will always be my strength,
Your advice will always keep me on track; always bless me so that I become a man of respect and value;
Rise I will in my life and I am confident more than ever, not because I work, but because you are my father, my guide.
