Fatherless Son Poem by Alexander S. McGuire

Fatherless Son

Rating: 5.0

What happened when you took my life
And entrusted it into another’s hand
Do you even know what you have done
A father you were but what you’ve become
Less than a person a monster a beast
But my mother a beauty with whom you sleep
I hope when my face you see
You regret what you have done to me
And wish your whole life to take it back
That it eats at your psyche your spirit your whole
While your on your hands and knees I hope
You beg for peace and love from me
Just so I can look you in the eyes
To tell you have no first born son
Then we shall part with no goodbyes
