Festival Of Lights Poem by Jaipal Singh

Festival Of Lights

Rating: 5.0

O Diwali, the Festival of Lights
We welcome you here again
Auspicious five-day celebration
Is every devout Hindu's aspiration

It's a season for merry-making
With the fireworks and sparklers
Regalia, sweets and splendid gifts
Strings of LED lights and traditional diyas

The upcoming festivities offer
Mind-boggling days of celebration
Moments of pure joy and togetherness
With friends, relatives and loved ones

And finally, it's a time to repose faith
Pray to deities with pious offerings
To get rid of maladies and sufferings
For the prosperous and blissful lives
