Fields Of Eternity Poem by David Wood

Fields Of Eternity

Rating: 5.0

She can no longer smell the flowers I bring
Their fragrance mine alone
Or hear the song thrush in the park
Or the melody of a skylark
She can no longer feel the wind caressing her cheeks
Or rustling through her hair
Her new domain is stark and bare
She lay in the snow covered frozen earth
Wandering through the fields of eternity

Very poignant and a tragic end of an intimate relationship.
