Finding True Love Poem by John Hubschman

Finding True Love

Rating: 4.0

In this world that moves so fast,
It’s hard to find love that lasts.
In the past I know you were hurt,
You told me he treated you like dirt.

All you wanted was to be merry,
Now your broken heart you carry.
He said he loved you and you wonder why,
Because all he did was make you cry.

You tell me that it's not a big deal,
But I know you still need to heal.
That is why I’m here in your life,
And I promise not to cause you strife.

I promise to be there every night,
And will always hold you tight.
You are wonderful, yes it's true,
I'm sorry he didn't feel that way too.

I tell you now that I’ll never forget,
The beautiful day that we met.
I'm so happy that your mine,
And we will be together till the end of time.
