Embers of life
Cradle feverishly on the barren earth
gazing up endlessly at the torn night sky
Wind of passion
Ignites their fury of hope
From the smoldered years of sulked depression
day by day a new light dances, flickers and burns
Slowly being kissed, these embers
with life
til the day they rage and crackle
with happiness and freedom
once again
into the beautiful fire
they once were
They were known to be
The fire they will become
Fire
