Luminous creatures that decorate the night,
Beams of light, so beautiful and bright,
Like little flames they brighten the way,
Alluring beauty that is unseen by day,

They enlighten the night with the colours of love,
Proof that he is an artist, god above,
For such beauty is painted by him in all nations
For man to appreciate for countless generations,

The way they dance with their flickering light.
Like shimmering candle light when they take flight,
Underneath the moonlit sky blanketed by stars,
The beauty of planet earth eternally unseen by mars,

Lights of yellow, green, and pale red that dance,
The perfect scene for love and romance,
They have no idea of how beautiful they are,
Every single lightning bug is like an enticing earthly star,

The magic of fireflies that embellish the starlit skies,
Their flames of passion that bring joy to human eyes,
They are truly God's work of art with their lovely glow,
Lightning bugs have so much beauty for the world to know,
