First The Blood Poem by Michael P. Johnson

First The Blood

If only Christ were on His way
How good this life would be
In Him we’ll fear no judgement day
For through His blood we’re free

But do these words come from the heart?
Or is the truth more strange?
For Jesus’ blood is but the start
From which must come the change

We need to change our darkened soul
Heart and spirit must heal
The body cleansed, in truth made whole
For Christ to place His seal

For this; we need The Holy Flame
From Christ who once was dead
God’s Fire will come in Jesus’ name -Ac.2: 2-4
As Baptised John once said -Lk.3: 16-17

The Lord Himself laid down the plan
Still whole! Christ left the grave
The president that all of man
God’s Lamb had come to save

Now Jesus Christ has shown the way
Through blood it must begin
But through His Flame God’s Son today
Convicts His bride of sin

The judgement in the church will start
God’s house on Zion hill
His Flame of truth within man’s heart
Will burn the chaff at “will”

“Be ye perfect” is God’s command
Before we close our eyes
Lest some who think, to walk God’s land
May find a sad surprise.
