Flirts Feel Good Poem by Biff McGuire

Flirts Feel Good

Hey girl in the burgundy Nissan pickup,
you made me feel good for awhile!
Looking my way at the red traffic light,
with your grin turning into a smile!
It's sticky and hot, so I'm out cooling off;
on my e-ven-ing motor-bike ride
Getting away from this lonely old house,
All your flirts make me feel warm inside
Throttle and brake tag, a couple of miles
you're quite the distraction for me!
Hoping the lights will turn quickly again
so your face through the glass I may see
I have to turn now and my heart sinks once more,
as you wave and shout 'maybe next time'
It's a shame that it ends in this fashion, but still
the fantasies dance in my mind!
