Flower You Poem by Mary Lyle

Flower You

Flower you; so beautiful and bright
Adored by all for your radiant beauty
Petals plucked & leaves prodded by unworthy passers-by
Resiliently returning the next season;
Fervently blooming more boldly than the last
Sinfully aesthetic qualities surround you
Desire of most for such a lovely flower

But Flower You; so rich and fulfilling
Alas, the bee regards your inner sanctity as alluring
Searching on empty, indulging you savagely, and soaring away rejuvenated
You, a constant beckoning for meaningful return

Flower you; always stay.
