Flowering Fade Poem by Deci Hernandez

Flowering Fade

Can i kiss you softly
But only softly just
Close enough

For a rose blossoms in due
Seasons and i have May reasons
To chase the fragrance of the pedals
On your cheek

Not with terror or haste
Else they tear and fade away

If the scent can be charmed by a cent
Then i shall rob a bank with
A bulletproof vest
i shall guard my chest and not for
Fear or Death but for
Fear of cufts

How can your fragrance
Be exchanged for rust?

No never shall i rob a bank
Never shall i harm the
Innocence of your unsuspecting love
And see my dreams forsaked

Do not allow me to kiss thee now
For i didn't seek a violent vow

With actions of terror or haste
How can i kiss thee without
Your pedels fading away?

Have i given up too soon? yes
And now you have gone away
