Slava Olchevski

Rookie (1964 / St.Petersburg, Russia)

Follow the leader

If you you’ve been given an order
Or received a command
Then, you and your leader
Had made a joint covenant

The boss, chief or commander
The title is irrelevant
It is the leader's authority
That makes you a servant valiant

Follow the leader
Don't let the consciousness be a bother
Remember, it is not your decision
You are only to follow the order

Follow the leader,
To the best of your ability
It is the leader's call,
It is the leader's responsibility

Follow the leader
The dude whose hat is the best
Or, the one with colorful ribbons
Spread across his or her chest

If your leader is in disguise
You can easily make mistake
Without the telltale signs
You might as well be following fake

When you stop following orders
When you break the leader’s spell
Become an advisor, a teacher or scholar
Don’t become a leader yourself!
