If it takes fancy language
to make your eyes delight
you may not want to read this
or hey, maybe you might! ?
I don't use words like ''Fabulous! ''
or ''That's simply divine! ''
I might say ''Hey, I like that! ''
or ''Wow, now that is FINE! ''
You'll never see a ''Thou'' here
and you'll never spot a ''Thee''
I can't pronounce the big words.
They're not my cup of tea!
I may say ''What the heck was that? ''
or ''Woohoo! I feel good! ''
I see no sense in ''foo-foo'' words
if they're not understood.
I be leev U. Mary. Can't make em any shorter Ron XX
I agree as well Mary though I do enjoy the sound of shakespeare and good english I wrote a New song entitled 'Sing a New Song' based on Psalm 96 God Bless Peter
Right on! love it! , love it! And so well written. Adeline
Haha, reminds me of stereotyped old British misers who sit around in mansions playing chess all day... or a drag queen... 'simply divine'. I see your style here, but 'divine' is such a nice word, though! A nice read. - K.
This is fabulous, Mary! lol Simply divine. I had to laugh out loud as I read this because I DO use these words every once in a while, but it's habit. When you're raised around these kinds of words or when you have friends that use them they rub off, you know? lol Great job. Shannon
Every so often, I learn a big word, but normally I can't retain it.
Thou hast done a goodly poem here Mary, thee can write well if thee wants to, and thou seemingly wants to right enough. Thou hast been pleasing with thy write and thus we have truly supped well on it. Your true friend, the Mrs Ernestine XXX
