Food For Morning Poem by Buxton Shippy

Food For Morning

Arise! it's a new day,
And you are breathing.
Here, take this embrace,
Before you face the storms.
Shamed, without a cause?
Tempted to revile?
Echo that familiar laughter
And shatter the dungeon of despair.
Yesterday stopped turning,
On wheels of injustice,
Still hatred manifest,
In many colors,
Concealing sinister schemes.
Alas! it's a new season,
So rise up with Hope
Of an endless life.
