Foolish Heart Poem by Roselyn A.M.

Foolish Heart

You don’t want happiness to be mine
‘Cause every time it’s in my hand
You grab it from me at once
Stop treating me like a child
By just a piece of candy
You want me to stop the cry
I am yours, but it doesn’t mean
You do own my whole life
How I long to be lost in your eye
Lost as a bubble played by a child
I swear not to be hurt by your love
But I made empty promises in my heart
And to your charm I always come back
Now smiles and tears, all in my life
