And it happened
The neglect took its toll
Faces turned the other way
The eyes refused to see
The nose did not scent
The onset of decay
About which no one spoke
As though it was not happening
Undercover of a deathly silence
The vital innards rotted
The smiles and laughter died
With them all hopes and dreams
The make-believes alike
Life stood aloof watching
The mayhem slowly unfold
And spread everywhere
The inevitable had happened
Helpless
I stepped out
Saw the destruction
And closed my eyes

A painful Poetry. I can see the distruction being allowed but the concept of restoration I feel missing somehow... sorry sir maybe I might have missed.
