(for Dónall) We Catch Our Breath (Valentine) Poem by Janice Windle

(for Dónall) We Catch Our Breath (Valentine)

Rating: 5.0

Our breath is caught

trapped in the space that's narrowed

to a whisper between our bodies.

Our hands finding each other.

Our mouths

holding the sweet honey breath

breathed in and caught by lovers

convinced

this time

there’s no catch.
