For That Girl... Poem by Blake Porter

For That Girl...

As he held her
The tears began to pour down her pale face
She stared into his modest eyes
Getting an overwhelming sensation of being loved
As he stared back into the gateway to her soul
Expecting nothing but an icy glare
He was greeted with a warm compassionate gaze
She let her emotions take over
Her eyes slowly shut as she gradually buried her face in his chest
He embraced her, shielding her from the world
Taking away her every trouble
She still loved him
And he the same for her
