For The Clinically Depressed Poem by Francis Duggan

For The Clinically Depressed

Rating: 5.0

From their bouts of melancholia medication only a temporary release
People with clinical depression are on the increase
In the twenty first century of the internet and the Iphone
Many with clinical depression face life's challenges alone
Those with clinical depression are no longer rare
Mental conditions does not ignore the millionaire
It is a lifetime sentence to be unwell of mind
It would be a cruel one who could not feel some sympathy for their kind
From clinical depression there is nowhere to hide
Some who have been affected by it have ended their lives in suicide
Though on medication their melancholia was great
Their darkness of mind it did seal their fate
Of their dark moods some of them are never free
For the clinically depressed how sad life must be.
