Forbidden Love Poem by Kenneth Maswabi

Forbidden Love

Forbidden love knows no boundaries
Bypassing the written laws of nature
Love penetrates even the thickest age gaps
Expressions have been coined
In defense of forbidden love
"Age ain't nothing but a number, " they say.

Evading the natural alarms in our moral fabric
Love matches through the gates of family trees
Bringing cousins closer than ever
The natural bonds of family ties
Broken down by forbidden love

Possessed by the intoxicating portion of love
They marched through the streets hand in hand
Declaring their love true and unbreakable
Man and man forever in love
Forbidden love breaks all rules
