Forever Searching Poem by Martine Kolber

Forever Searching

Forever searching he was never
At a place he felt home and he
Never saw a sunset with so much
Passion that it would have caught
Him by this sensation so that he
Would smile and shiver inside

Forever searching he was never
Proud enough to say what was on
His mind he thought better be quiet
And listen so he could learn more
About this life and about what is
Right in the eyes of the crowd

That crowd without faces
That crowd without meaning
Until he saw your face in it and
Suddenly he knew his quest had
Come to an end inside of that warm
Smile making him smile and shiver inside
