Four Seasons Poem by Angela Bontle Ditumiso

Four Seasons

Summer
Death kills everything it touches
Greened nature becomes a bit browned
because of an angry sun screaming scorching heat

Autumn
When trees say goodbye to their leaves
in turn for baldness
Then dance like puppets in the hands of a puppet master
In celebration of their newly found freedom
But the leaves long for their home
so the rest at the feet of the tree and occasionally climb up the wind trying to find their way back

Winter
Temperatures fall and sometimes find themselves below zero
Everything shivers with cold
Come morning, frost has bitten some plants to death

Spring
Nature remembers itself
Starts to flourish yet again
Previously browned, green colours the scenery
Everything is as beautiful as a picture from a coloring book
