Frank & Daisy Poem by Diane Rosenstein

Frank & Daisy

Oh, I have you now
But it won't be for long
These days just tumble on
Grab with me this song

Let's hold its meaning long
when we hold each other near
This time we may forget
These things fade everyday

Years, they fly right on
We're both here on this day
The nights they shuffle cards
52 weeks a straight

In nightime memory
just vague in front of me
A love I held so true
Each day I'd wait for you

Enchanted in the past
the books have closed long last
Who put this all away
What's written every day

It hurts if you would know
My feelings weren't all shown
I'd bare to you right now
These things you should have known

The words & songs were thrown
the places we have shared
the points in time that glare
when mirrors break & fall

The ages if recalled
are calling us this way

If we sit there in a daze
and can't remember days.
