Freedom Poem by Brianna Herman.

Freedom

you complain about your life,
maybe if you try this, it will help stop all the strife
maybe you should stop using the weed,
maybe you should plant a seed
of love, christianity
whatever your heart desires
whatever your mind requires
let your freedom be free
lets burn this city,
its ours for the taking.
weve acquired theyre blessing
let your dreams dream
by the light of the moonbeam
dont listen to the mainstream, itll cause your need for the drip of morphine
I can hear your screaming,
your saying your need
the only time you really speak your mind, is when your dreaming
dont let yourself be bullied
by a self conscious kid
dont hide, dont close your eye lid
speak your mind, dammit its really not that hard
if i can do it, so can you, and it wont leave you scarred
you say, you have a need for freedom
but they wont take us seriously until we speak our minds, to the march of our own anthem
