Freedom
They said when you were growing up,
Do as your are told and you will be tough,
But tough is the name of the game these days,
So how tough can you get,
To be one with one these days?
I saw what it was to be tough and strong,
Made of the right stuff,
To be tough enough,
They say,
You can’t go wrong,
But then you take a break,
To stop,
See nature,
A break,
And what do they do?
Come at you in fatal draws,
To try and break,
That what is born in us all,
What is it they cannot see?
What is it they cannot try?
What is it they cannot hear?
What is it they cannot bear?
Its freedom
That’s what it is
Freedom!
So,
Be care free to make your great happenings,
To take that chance and see what happenings,
Or just get it right from,
Trial and error,
We all make mistakes,
To err is to forgive,
Not breaking the spirit,
Of what is within,
We are born with freedom,
To make mistakes,
Freedom!
To make it great,
Freedom!
To just be,
Free!
For in choice is freedom,
Freedom brings choice,
It is what makes us all unique,
Having freedom,
To make mistakes,
And start afresh,
All over again,
When at first,
We at first,
We get it wrong.

I like the wordplay in these lines, and enjoyed the general mood of the poem. Good work, welcome to dropp by my page, also. Kind regards, Zub
