*friendly Fire

Rating: 2.8

Danny boy was a kid so bright
Stayed away from everything he knew nothing about
No fear, no problems, not a care in the world
Get rich quick schemes, did it all for the joke
Then one day it changed, felt more than he could
In his heart, when he laid his eyes on her
He thought love was a myth, it was love at first sight
Did all that he could to make her feel the same
They talked, laughed, he spent all his money on her
That ungrateful bitch gave him no care for
Our young Jackal was heartbroken, dead at the core
One friend down, just three more to go

Sick Chris, he was one crazy guy
Swung on the vines of the tree of life
Nothing to hold him back, no one more free with will
Some called him a freak, but he didn't care
All he ever wanted was to have a good time
But you know luck never was on his side
Blamed for sh*t he didn't do, gained a reputation
Seemed everybody was just out to get (him)
So maybe a kid goes wrong here and there
Got pulled over, cops beat him up and then
Searched him down, took his rights, now he is alone
Another friend down, just two more to go

Johnny never was quite like anyone else
Always too sensitive with no love for himself
Felt lost and unwanted, had help of the guys
Still depression got the best of him most of the time
But it came that he found his true soul mate
They called her Mrs. Emo, exactly like him
He loved this girl from the inside out
The only one he could spend eternity with
But the two of them built up one big mess
Both became too sad, under too much stress
One year less of forever they blew up
A third friend down, the last one to go

Mikey Fire, loved by everybody he knew
Not the coolest, just one hell of a guy
He was smart, talented, man if you heard him sing
Was the glue that held everything in place
One problem he had, one stupid addiction
With a kid like that, who'd have thought he'd do it
Started wars in backyards, made some enemies
Got robbed and he acted on the scene
Drove by the wrong block, he fired shots
Fired back, gunned him down, he was caught
He was buried in the ground, before friends would know
That's four friends down and no more to go

So there you have it, these kids so young
With all their hopes still high in their hearts
Dan was shut down, so he shut down his mind
Lost hope in this girl, another friend doing time
Chris lost his freedom, that was all that he had
Johnny lost his girl, and subsequently his head
Thought his place might at least be here with his friends
But when Mikey got shot, it all fell apart
Now he's gone, the others won't be the same
Four friends die out with nothing to their names
It went down one day, each made their mistakes
And they all drank down the poison

Throw yourself into the fire
They all erased in one perfect
Volatile night of this impending storm
Watch as the flame embraces
Them in one dire explosion
Resistance of existence in the final fight
Falling all over again
