Friends Across The World Poem by David Harris

I have friends across the world
in practically every country
that you might care to name.
Some I have met
while others I may never.
With my writing I try to touch
each and every one of them,
bringing a smile at times
and occasionally a tear as well.
I write words of comfort
to ease a saddened soul,
words to make them laugh
at how silly I can sometimes be
and to rejoice their soul.
With my heart I give respect
to whoever might cross my path.
