From Doggerland We Came Poem by John Fenton Mcleish

From Doggerland We Came

This great race they call the Phoenician
And which did sail forth from doggerland
Father of Anglo Saxon nations
Now lies beneath the north sea under sand

Builders of the pyramids in Egypt
And erectors of the stone monoliths
Creators of the alphabet and script
Gave birth to the Celt, Thracian and scyths

Destroyed by a tidal wave and earthquake
A forgotten civilization
Yet none can deny this world they did shake
We are children of their creation

The great flood and the myth of Atlantis
The origin of human chrysalis
