From Out Of The Kitchen Window Poem by Raymond Farrell

From Out Of The Kitchen Window

From out of the kitchen window
I saw the fresh fallen snow
Down soft and feathery light
In the morning sun's bright glow
A sparkling uplifting delight.

All the dirty ruts of yesterday
That pitted the yard to the shed
Have been covered with white
I much prefer the snow instead
As it sparkles in the morning light.

I feel better already
And the day has only begun
Give me snow soft and white
Blue skies and morning sun
And I know I'll be alright.
