From the Mountain Top
From the mountain top, we can see the lights
Of Hope, and feel the unspeakable pressure of the fights
Ahead. The roads are snaky, long, deep and treacherous.
Life is a constantly unending struggle of ups and downs.
One wrong or missed move, death shows up like a frivolous
Thief, like a hard core enforcer or bouncer who frowns
To inflict uneasiness, pain, shame, sorrow and despair.
From the mountain top, we are grazed by the fresh air
Of hope. God willing, a better life is ahead; good vibrations
Are a few miles or meters away. We must act, take actions,
We must be vigilant, alive and be constantly on the move,
In order to survive the inclement weather, and the groove.
