From The Solitude Poem by A Waltz For Zizi

From The Solitude

Of course I wrote you everything
however, it is possible you do not
know me as I want, and for this
reason alone I think not receiving
an answer is not an aversion
towards me, but towards my
poetic abilities to make you
aware of my intentions.

I'm expecting it to rain sometime
tomorrow, which would of course
hurt you, as you do not like
the rain too much, unlike me.
I have no advice for you, but
If I could stop the rain
and be miserable in exchange
for your happiness, I would.

I have kept in my mind the image
that is very kind to me, your face
blooming in the morning, as I was
watching you from my balcony
not realizing you're seeing me.
I had never known it would be
so cruel to close my eyes and run
from something I love.

Am I stupid for believing
that day was real, and that
there was no accidental kiss
that you'd rather take back
seeing how ridiculous I am
with a pen in my hand?
