From Within Poem by Ari Ryan

From Within

Day In, Day out
You see the sun rise about.
The moon comes up a bit,
So you decide to take another hit.
You feel it pulse up through your veins,
You swear without it you’d go insane.
The pace picks up,
You feel alive,
All because of that one high.
Before, everything around you felt so plain
But not now, with heroine in your brain.
Hours later, things slow down.
You feel like this drugs’ goddamn clown.
Your skin crawls, the walls move in
You just wish you could stop it from within.
You’ve crossed your heart,
Your hoping to die,
You can already feel the needle in your eye.
You fight it away,
Opening all your old sores,
Until another round, another day
All you can hope for is the worst.
You don’t know why you need it,
Why you shake and burst..
All you know is that
this drug is a curse.
No money, No life
Just you and your heroine
I guess it’s just what you need
To satisfy you from within.

I like the way that you write poetry it's so dark yet not too dark to the point that you can'tsee anything, but the point to were you can see a dim light. I like it!
