Fruition Poem by Kewayne Wadley

Fruition

I'm high on you,
A sweet herb that caresses the lungs
healing the pain each moment I hold you in.
I release you, feeling the effect you've left upon me.
One vicious cough after another.
Momentarily I'm at peace.
Clinching then releasing myself in you.
Becoming one with the very essence of you.
Intoxicated.
Although you decompose, your still here with me.
A language meant only for you & I.
Contiguous. The feel of you against my lips.
I feel you disperse through my body.
Conveying the same emotion given from me to you
Through my lips.
Deeply staining my thoughts as water moving through the soil.
I grip you tighter, needing to feel you closer.
A nurishment of the soul
Although silent.
It Beckons between you & I.
The throbs of our heart.
I inhale deeper.
Your thick brown skin. Layered with knowledge.
A Queen essentially conquering in hemispherical proportion.
While I, as mush as the ground that carries your every step.
Loosened at your very touch.
Ready to be lifted higher to be seen as more than a mere pebble in your eye.
As we exist beyond the realm of what's physical.
For touch can only tease the vessels that carry our souls.
You & I.
No longer a slender shadow hiding from the sun.
The throb of my heart.
It grows in depth.
Covering all it touches.
Slumber waves ravishing amongst what it constitutes as self.
Momentarily I'm at peace.
Clinching then releasing myself in you.
Easing the urgency of addiction.
The light voice I hear every time your around.
Conveying the same emotion given from me to you
Through my lips.
I feel you against my finger tips.
presiding the same emotion
Not as punishment.
But as a kiss from you to me
