Full Circle

Silent tears, made to be broken
No strength inside, I am strangled
No place to safely hide
My single rosebud fading fast
No way, no way for me to last
What happened to being rescued?
My silent tears, I am broken
Slowly I lose, unfair advantage
I played the game, cheated-
No end, no sweet friend
My tale-drowned out by silent tears.
I've come full circle.

Poem of the Day

poet Dante Gabriel Rossetti

Young Love lies sleeping
In May-time of the year,
Among the lilies,
Lapped in the tender light:
White lambs come grazing,
White doves come building there:
