Treasure Island

Steven Harris

Full Of Ideas.

My head right now is full with ideas
i dont know what to do with them
shall i write about tears
or the drunk with his beers
its stacked with thoughts
ready to explode
just what to do with them
where to put them
shall i write about the fog
or the rain and the cold
or the one about the lost dog
i dont know what to do
i need to do something
my heads so full its humming
maybe i need a drink
get my brain working
get me to thinking
maybe then i can start writing
maybe then i can write about the fighting
or maybe even the house lighting
i dont know
let me just go get that drink
get everything going up there
once i down that drink
then things will start to get fair.

Poem of the Day

poet Paul Laurence Dunbar

The mist has left the greening plain,
The dew-drops shine like fairy rain,
The coquette rose awakes again
Her lovely self adorning.
