Games Poem by Alexandra Puddle

Games

Silly little boys
Play silly little games
Throwing your heart around
As if you didn’t even have a name

Their games hurt
Deep inside
It seems like they wouldn’t even care
If you had died

You want me then you don’t
They way that you look at me
Is not as a friend
Although that’s all you say we will be

I am happy around you
I smile when I see you near
I do a little dance inside
But you will reject me again I fear

Silly little boys
Play silly little games
They don’t care about you
Just throw you into the flame
