An independent India he saw in his dreams
Learnt English Law to fight London’s Queen
Throne not he desire, when truth he extend
Politician in India welcome him as a friend
Indian Congress asked him, about his plan
He took independence dream to every common man
Knew no freedom possible until each on road
With Vaishnav Jan he got, even Harijans on board
Fast walks with stick, glasses he wear
but showed every Indian, Freedom very clear
Used Christ’s teaching against ruling Christian
Genius of his time fought for a great mission
British rulers arrested him, warned him to halt
He marched with several and went to make salt
Satyagrah and Non-violence he taught to all
When became ready, he gave “Quit India”’s call
Decorated Queen’s army left with no choice
Mohandas won in Khadi being very wise
Deepak, well composed and good balanced thought process. Cheers Bobby P
