Garden Poem by arboreslorien sapientia

Garden

Crystal garden;
Iced flowers glinting in the rising sun.
Knife-like air cuts your throat,
And dew-damp air caresses your face.
Single dropp on rose’s petal,
quiet glitter,
Refracted beauty.
In it, you can see many gardens,
A world of roses,
Rainbow colours and sly thorns.
The fire and pitch of the gardener’s ally,
As she stalks her prey.
The composter’s home in the damp earth,
enriched for the plants.
The miniature world of the garden bed.
Homes are petals,
Highways are stems.
A city dedicated to preserving life and vibrance.
The gardener’s hidden aid.
