Gemini Poem by David Paradine

Gemini

Rating: 5.0

A Gemini am I
A real mystery to some
The third astrological sign
And always such fun

The Twins are my sign
Two persons how complex
Sounds schizophrenic
Maybe some kind of hex

King Tyndareus and Zeus
In the guise of a swan
Ravished Queen Leda
Creating their spawn

Castor was mortal
Pollux divine
If you believe Greek Mythology
Then I certainly won't opine

Two people in one
A phenomenon guite strange
Astronomy and mythology
Concurrent for a change

Energetic and clever
Imaginative with wit
Superficial and impulsive
Sounds a little like a twit

Devious, Indecisive
Both the yin and the yang
Independent and adaptable
Excuse my harangue

Interesting and exciting
A real hit at the ball
Never ever boring
A friend to one and all

I know it's confusing
Not knowing which one is there
But we're both very charming
With our own distinct flair

It's hard to decide
Just who I should be
When it's so much more fun
Watching you watching me

It's not easy being two people
Never knowing who will appear
One dining on caviar
The other on beer

So this is my saga
With all of its travails
The only remaining mystery
Which one wrote this tale
