Gentle Rain Poem by The Pedestrian

Gentle Rain

Sometimes
things just
have to get worse
before they can
get any better
Sometimes
the sky just
has to fall
before your life
can change at all

But I'll always
be your friend
Though you never know
you never know
the story's end
So let's just
turn one page
at a time,
look at the pictures
and listen to
the gentle rain

Sometimes
it's hard
to understand
why things
rarely go
the way they're planned
But that's no reason
to give in
sometimes you lose
sometimes you win

But I'll always
be your friend
Though you never know
you never know
the story's end
So let's just
turn one page
at a time,
look at the pictures
and listen to
the gentle rain...

it touches everyone
It can make you cry
and then it's gone

So let's just
turn one page
at a time,
look at the pictures
and listen to
the gentle rain

Listen to the gentle rain

True Poet: Is there music to this or something?
Me: Yeah
True Poet: Then I guess it's not really a poem, is it?
Me: Well, no but..
True Poet: This isn't 'LyricHunter', com'on!
Me: But I wax poetic.
True Poet: Yes, waxing and waning (It's waning it's waning!)
Me: As in my tune 'Gentle Rain'. Maybe someday I'll sing it to you.
